We all have someone on our list who is simply impossible to buy for. Gift cards are always an option, but they’re not very exciting to open. Group gifts can be even more difficult. Finding out what each person likes can be both challenging and time consuming. Check off all of the people on your list by giving a gourmet cupcake as a holiday gift!

Traditionally, when people think of the “holidays,” they think of three major holidays: Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. Each holiday has different origins and their gift-giving traditions are slightly different.
- Christmas. Christmas is a Christian holiday, but it has also become very commercialized. Generally, children will open their presents on Christmas day, December 25, but there are families who open their gifts on Christmas Eve. Enjoying a cupcake on Christmas Eve sounds like the perfect holiday treat while waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. Why not start a new tradition?
- Kwanzaa. This is a secular holiday that is celebrated on December 26 and continues until New Year’s Day. For each day, those who celebrate this holiday recognize a different principle or value, like Self Determination or Unity, for example. The last day of Kwanzaa is usually the day to exchange gifts. Why not cupcakes for everyone?!
- Hanukkah. Hanukkah is celebrated in Jewish communities. It is also known as the Festival of Lights. Families come together and light one candle on the menorah for each of the eight nights of this holiday. They also exchange gifts each night. Originally, the gift exchange only involved children, but today it includes adults. Cupcakes would be the perfect gift for more than one of these nights.
Holiday gift giving extends to more than just the winter holidays. Cupcakes would make great Easter gifts, Thanksgiving treats, Father’s Day or Mother’s Day gifts, or Valentine Day’s treats. They are also the perfect dessert for holiday-themed parties at Halloween or on Independence Day.
